Soakin' Up Design Sauce Since '03!
My passion *and pain* is web design.
I'm new to web design, but solving problems runs in my blood.

PROJECT 1
-
At the time of writing this entry, I am on my third and final attempt of a web design class that I have failed two times prior. You may ask why I have failed so many times, and to that, I would respond, “lack of faith.” You might also ask why I keep showing up despite the world obviously having it out for me, and to that, I would respond, “persistence.” My relationship with web design is one that has evolved over the years. From pure, unadulterated hatred, to a love that is only to be understood between two mortal enemies. The website before you is a product of my evolution as a graphic designer.

PROJECT 2
-
This is an in-progress project that I'm working on for a mobile automotive care business. When I went over the creative brief for this project with the client, he expressed the importance of his website being as trustworthy and reliable as possible. With this in mind, I went on the hunt for automotive care websites that felt inviting. In my search, I came across Woodie's, Christian Brothers Automotive, and Autohaus NC, took their winning qualities, and molded them into what I needed to solve the problem at hand. This particular image is just a wireframe I made in Figma, but further expansion from wireframe to live website is inevitable.

Meet The Designer
Isaiah Jones: The 20 Year Old Web Designer Reppin' the Carolinas
What's goin on!? My name is Isaiah but my peers call me Sai (like say). I have roots in the countryside of northern Durham but I was raised in the city of Charlotte, NC. I enjoy spending quality time with my family, travelling to new places, reading, meditating, and trying new restaurants. Currently, I'm enrolled in Central Piedmont Community College and I'll recieve my Associates degree in Advertising & Graphic Design in the spring of 2025. After I graduate , I intend to jump head first into my career, first working with a web design agency and eventually learning enough to run my own practice. Outside of school, I'm a freelance designer. I work with small businesses to help them gain the trust of their target audiences through visual communication. Whether it's logos, websites, or other digital marketing material, my training spreads across a variety of fields within the graphic design discipline.
